We are a group of Colombian alumni from the University of Oklahoma who understand the value of education and the effort that some Colombian students are making to come to OU to pursue a degree. The mission of our association is to give back to OU, through a Scholarship Fund for COLSA members, what the university HAS provided to us . . . education, experience and knowledge.
Giving back is a great feeling, and if we do it together, the impact to our Colombian community will be enormous.
COUAA was established in 2007 and has already provided more than 200 scholarships to deserving students averaging more than $1,000 dollars per scholarship. This thanks to the generosity of Colombian Alumnus from the University of Oklahoma, OU professors, staff and other supporters of education in general.
With your support we will be able to reach our goal of raising $20,000 in scholarships this year.

The theme for this year’s event entitled “Magical Sunsets of Colombia”, showcases the plain region of the country focusing on its music, dance and mythology of this beautiful region that Colombia shares with neighboring Venezuela. We have invited the Association Friends of Venezuela to partner in the dances and mythology represented in the event.
More InfoThe Colombian Night was created to continue the long- standing tradition of international awareness at the University of Oklahoma. Our Colombian Night host around 750 people and is an opportunity to see the most popular folkloric dance and performances from South America and also become familiar with Colombian food, attire, souvenirs and its diversity.
